Lionel Messi is an Argentine professional soccer player, widely considered one of the greatest of all time. Born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina, Messi began playing soccer at a young age and quickly demonstrated exceptional talent. He has since gone on to break numerous records, win countless awards, and inspire millions of fans around the world. Messi started his soccer career playing for a local team in his hometown, but his talent was quickly recognized by the youth academy of one of Argentina's top clubs, Newell's Old Boys. At the age of 13, he moved to Spain to join the youth academy of FC Barcelona. He made his debut for the Barcelona first team in 2004, at the age of 17.
